What’s the issue?

This one is simple.

If Council makes a decision, you should be able to see how your councillors voted. I don’t like important decisions disappearing behind: “Motion carried.”

Who voted for it?

Who voted against it?

Who changed their mind?

Put it on the record.

Can Council do anything?

Yes. Immediately.

A councillor can request a recorded vote.

You don’t need a ten-year study.

You don’t need another consultant.

You ask for the vote to be recorded.

What next?

My position is pretty straightforward. On substantive Council decisions, record the vote.

If I support something, put my name beside it. If I oppose it, put my name beside that too.

Residents should not have to search through meetings and videos trying to figure out where their councillor stood.
